My literary world

In my live I've read some books. Right now I still remember the first book I really enjoyed reading in my life was "El Mecanoscrit del Segon Origen". I read it when I was doing 6th of primary. I think I did it in 5 days, a world record for me. Since then, I've read many other books. Another one that have let a print on me is "La Sombra del Viento". I remember that it cost me a lot of time to finish it, because I had a lot of homework from the school. But every time I read it, I felt like reading more. When I finished any other book liked me, because "La Sombra del Viento" left the bar very high.

Recently I have just read "Divergente" it really liked me. Now I am anxious to start reading the next part of the story: "Insurgente".

My favourite animal

My favourite animal is the cheetah. I like cheetah because they are always elegant and polite. Is a felid, as lions, or as leopards. I love cheetahs also because they are so cute when they are babies. But above all this reasons, I love cheetahs because they are the fastest animals in the world. They can run over 112 km/h. I think to be fast is one of the best qualities that can have a person, or an animal.

It drives me crazy when people says that the cheetahs are leopards. They are different. Cheetahs are more slime and fast, and they just have little black spots, but leopards are bigger and slower than cheetahs, and their spots are big and they have a black line around a brown spot. There's difference.

Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes is a 18 years old singer. He's from Canada and he plays the guitar and the piano. He is very known now. He became famous uploading covers on a social web called vine. In months he had thousands of views, and a manager caught him. His first single was "Life of the party". Now he has 2 albums: Handwritten, and Illuminate.

I like so much his voice, the music that he does, and the lyrics that he write. I love his songs, and I ike too, the personality he seems to have. One way or another he is an example to me. I've been in his concert in Barcelona recently. It was so good, and I want to repeat.

My family

We are my brother, my mother, my father and me.

My brother, Arnau, is 13 years old, we is only 2 years younger than me, what gives us a special connection because we share many things. We love each other, we play together and of course we sometimes have arguments. He is a bit shy, and more sensible than me, he worries for many things. He is very smart, but a bit lazy. My brother is very creative, he has a lot of imagination, and he likes doing things. Usually we are very competitive, and both of us want to win in whatever game we play. I can say that my brother and I have a good relationship.

I have a good relationship with my parents too. My mother, Gemma, is very sensible, like my brother, and very kind; she always helps the others. She is open-minded, she likes to listen to the other people's ideas. My mother is a hardworking person too, she always has something to do, and this is sometimes good and sometimes bad, because she likes doing things, but sometimes that puts her under a lot of stress. She is very kind with me, and if I have a problem I know that she will be there. My father, David, is a bit shy with the others, but not with my mother, my brother and me, he seems another person. He cares very much for us. He does several things for my brother and for me, although he has to sacrifice his own things. When we are worried about something he always gives us a reason to be calmed.

So this is my familily.

Prison Break

Prison break is a series about a man, Micheal Scofield, who has a brother in prison, Lincoln Burrows, but he's innocent. The man in prison is sentenced to death, so his brother decides to tattoo on his body  the map of the prison, and get in, to save Lincoln.

This series has action and romance, but the main fact that makes you want to keep watching the next episode is the tension that every one of them make you feel. The main character, Michael Scofield is the most intelligent person of the series. He has always an answer to the problems, and he can get anything he want without using the violence. He loves his brother, Lincoln Burrows. Lincoln is accused unfairly. He isn't as clever as his brother, but he loves him too. Michael Scofield has a girlfriend, Sara Tancredi, she's the doctor of the prison, and they fall in love on then visits they have.

When Michael and his brother brake out of the prison, Sara and him have a love story, but it's hard, because they have to be hidding himselves every time to don't be seen. Michael and Sara meet infrequently because he and his brother are trying to prove the innocence of him. Many people die because of them, but at last, Lincoln gets his innocence.

What's my opinion about Christmas?

I think that Christmas is the most important event of the year. I think that because it have a magical ambient that covers the air. Is the time when the families meet all toghether during the holidays and celebrate that is Christmas!

On the origins, Christmas was a religious celebration, but I think that now is a celebration that unite the families, and it has nothing to do with the religion. Usually the people have big dinners in this event, and open presents of Sant Nick, of the Three Magic Kings, or of  the "el tió" (typical in Catalonia). The kids feel that magic is real, and sing Christmas Carols.

It's true that somentimes when somebody have lost someone in the family it's hard to confront this event, because everybody meet with the family, and the loss, feels stronger.

But definitely, I like Christmas and as I said in the begining, I think that Christmas holidays are the most beautiful ones of the year. 

Underwater Hockey

History

The Underwater Hockey is an acuatic sport. It was invented on 1954 by Alan Blake in the United Kingdom. He dove with a couple of other divers, so that's why he create this sport, to practise his apnea and be better as a diver. On 1996 the Underwater Hockey arrived in Barcelona for Laurent Alquier, and from there it was moved to the rest of Spain.

Rules

The Underwater Hockey consists in two opponent teams that have to score, carrying a puck with a stick for the bottom of the pool, in the others goal. The team with more goals at the end, win the match. The teams are of 10 players (6 playing and 4 reserves). The matches have two parts of 15 minuts each other, with a small brake of 3 minuts between them.

Basic material

The basic material that you need is:

        1. A snorkel
        2. A cap
        3. A mask
        4. A pair of fins
        5. A stick
        6. A puck
        7. A glove

Why I love this sport?

I love Underwater Hockey because it's a minority sport, and the people who plays is usually open-minded. I like it too because I enjoy a lot being in the water, I can move my body very well. Another reason of why I love this sport is because if you are a bit good at this, you can be part of something big, like the Catalan Selection or something like that. And above all these reasons, I love Underwater Hockey beacause when I play, I feel happy and full, and I forget all the problems that I have.

My little music world

As you probably know I am Joel Martínez Miralles and I love music. In my free time I listen relax music, like I'm yours, or Let her go, but I like too Rock 'n' roll! I've been playing the electric guitar since I was 9. I can play many songs now, and the ones that I like more are ACDC songs, or other Rock ones of old singers and bands like Dire Straits, Deep Purple, Guns n Roses... 

I play in a musical, "Un Estiu a la Platja" with a little orchestra. It's about a girl that fall in love with the popular boy in the highschool, they go in the same class. The girl create a false facebook profile and chat with him. Finally they start a real relationship. The musical was created by David Pellicer, the director of the orchestra. We started doing this musical two summers ago, and we're still doing it.

I play in a band too. It's called Pa'm Tomata, that means bread with tomato, a typical catalan food. In the band we are 6 musicians, Lluc, on the drums, Pau on the trumpet, Mel on the Piano, Roger on the saxophone, Mariona on the Piano Bass, me on the elecrtic guitar, and the director David Pellicer. We play many types of songs. We meet all mondays to practice. 

And that's all. This is my music world.
